Shortened links are everywhere — in emails, SMS, social posts, and chat messages. They hide the real destination, making it easy for bad actors to disguise malware, phishing pages, and unwanted software downloads.
Unshortened exists to make the web safer by revealing where every link actually goes, and scanning each destination against Google Web Risk — the same threat intelligence that protects billions of Chrome, Gmail, and YouTube users every day.

Known-safe domains return in milliseconds. New URLs are scanned in seconds. Results are cached for 24 hours.
Privacy First
We don't track you. We don't log your IP with the URLs you scan. We don't build profiles or sell data. Scan results are cached temporarily to improve performance, but no personal browsing history is retained.
For Developers
Need to scan URLs programmatically? Our JSON API supports single lookups, batch scanning, and queue-based processing with retry logic and dead-letter handling. No API key required for basic use.
